Freedom Summer 2011

Posted on June 11, 2011 at 7:38am 2 Comments

I just got back from teaching my Freedom Summer 2011 Civil Rights Tour of the South. We took part in the Freedom Riders Reunion in Jackson, Mississippi and met others in Montgomery, Alabama.  I'm excited to post photos and invite all the class members to join the Gandhi King Community.  I have limited internet access right now, so more later.

Hi Monica,
It's great to see that you led a southern tour very similar to the one I led for California teachers. Please do let me know of your suggestions for improving the site.

Hi Monica,
Thanks for the kind comment about the site. I do hope that you and your friends in Indiana will continue to participate in the G-K Community and that our paths will cross in the near future.
