Why are you interested in the Gandhi-King Community?
I am writing a book that brings Gandhi's and King's work on non-violence to domestic violence. My dream is to tie this to a free trade model for survivors of domestic violence in and out of shelter. I would like to see what others are involved in with related efforts.

Thanks for being a member of society for social change.Ghandi was not racist, sexist but a spiritual being for upliftment of humanity and for freedoms, justice, equity for one and all.
Indeed,he would have been in favour of Women Bishops,Popes and Cardinals in Christian churches as he believed in womens spiritual emancipation as co -equals and both created in the image of God and Goddess. So it is sad that the Catholic church has ex communicated the woman Bishop Christine Mayr-Lumetzberger as shown on our freeview RT(Russian Channel) in UK today.Hope Obama,as first black and white president, with a father of an ex british colony, which was just like the south african racist regime under Verwood in that Africans and Indians were kept down, would now heal the divide and use his power and position top down to restrain evangical mullas and hard line rabbais and give women, afro americans, indians ,hispanics and above all the original red indians to come up and be free and respected with policies and programs.eg stop government funding of churches which discriminate against women, children, folks of colour, appoint first black, white, brown or mixture of hue women Bishop or Archbishop of the american Presbyterian or Methodist or Baptist church and appoint Professor Carson as UN or UK ambassador.Indeed,I wouldnt mind being the chief interfaith ambassador for peace between east and west.
