# Every day, 1.1bn people poo without a loo- News in Times of India

Dear friends,

The above news items have been doing the rounds the past few days. Yes, it is a matter of national shame. These are matters which will make every right minded India sit up and think. But then what can one do? True. The problem of open defecation is so huge that whatever efforts have been taken by various agencies in the past have been minimalist in nature.

I have been taking a special interest in sanitation since 2000 ever since I had a chance to extend loans under microfinance for toilet construction in South Tamilnadu. During the last three years I have been fully involved in sanitation and now with all the experience and passion I have launched a Campaign. I have decided to dedicate my full time for this and I intend to cover a major part of this national problem in the coming five years through lots of education at the grassroot and microfinance. Before getting into the act, I thought of eliciting your support for this Campaign.

Please visit my new blog KUCKOOS at:

My special request is to take some of your precious time to read the whole blog, think and endorse your support to the campaign by becoming a Follower of the blog.

I would also appreciate if you could take the pain of leaving a comment on the blog.

IF YOU ARE IMPRESSED WITH THE BLOG PLEASE INVITE YOUR FRIENDS TO VISIT IT. You can use my above letter too if needed as a forward.

With lots of passion,

Uday…
