A gift by Jewish brother Herbert, who escaped persecution of Jews in Germany to be promptly arrested in UK for being a German!.
Brother Herbert has been a Catholic Monk for many years and lives in a Community with other Nuns in UK and is now quiet elderly and I met him through my Christian daughter.A nice kind Gentleman who came to Bristol in 1940s when the pace of life was gentle and no car polution, violent crime or drugs but was a serene and beautifull place with water from the bristol channel coming right through to the heart of the city. But alas many have complained that it has become a mini corporate america with new offfice buildings and concrete monstrocity.what has happened to old England?on the otherhand,The Sikhs have put up a Golden Dome over thier Gurudwara in Fishponds road and Muslims have built a Mosque with a white dome as one comes down M32 into bristol.
