CELEBRATE Dr. Carson's 50th Anniversary at Stanford University!

Celebrating in ATLANTA: City of Peace!

Gandhi-King Community, let's celebrate the SUPERB ACHIEVEMENT of Dr. Clay Carson. He has been a leader at Stanford University for 50 years!

"Dr. Carson, CONGRATS for your half-century at a widely respected institution of higher learning. Since discovering you & your service example almost 2 decades ago, you have been a major influence in our mission of formalizing Dr. King's birthplace into ATLANTA: City of Peace, a Global Capital of Peace -- Cultivation, Education, and Inspiration. We've always celebrated you indirectly as a key official co-founder and we have a dream that you'll be more active with us when you retire. :-)

You, Dr. Lawrence Edward Carter Sr, Hon. Subash Razdan, and Steve Klein have taught me much about the Gandhi-King connection. I'm grateful. The "lesson" that I MOST appreciate learning from you is Dr. King's perspectives on silence & urgency! MLK's dispositions on these have informed my presence and our organization's resolve more than anything else over these last many years! Dr. Carson, you know MLK's speech wherein he proclaimed:

"Over the past two years, as I have moved to break the betrayal of my own silences and to speak from the burnings of my own heart, as I have called for radical departures... We are now faced with the fact, my friends, that tomorrow is today. We are confronted with the fierce urgency of now..."

To a brighter future ahead.

Onward and forward...

Peace & Love in...

All,

John
