Why are you interested in the Gandhi-King Community?
For 40 years, in jobs as varied as grassroots community organizer, social issues advocate, political campaign strategist and non-profit CEO, I have pushed, poked, prodded and worked cooperatively with the political, economic and civic establishments on a mission to increase social and economic justice.

 Often that has meant working with labor and community groups to create opportunities for constructive social change where none seemed to exist.

 Always that has meant community organizing at a grassroots level to help ordinary people amplify their voices by teaming up with each other.

 Endlessly that has meant maintaining a keen understanding of current public policy and politics, working effectively with all levels of government agencies and private businesses, generating media interest and working cooperatively and effectively with all kinds of people across racial and class lines.
