"Spin a Yarn - Self and Society"

As an extension of our project "Spin a Yarn - Self and Society" that we have been conducting in ten schools of Chennai, The Aseema trust marks Sarvodaya Day on 30th January 2009 with the following

I. A poster exhibition of short listed posters made by children on "Cleanliness is Godliness", "Truth and Love are ultimate weapons", "Be the change you want to see" and selection of best posters by judges.

II. Spin a Yarn contest. participants spin on the Charkha for five minutes. Judging is on the quality and length of the yarn. 2 pm

III. Quiz on Gandhi.3 pm

IV. Welcoming the cyclists of Gandhi Study Circle who have been on the road from 9 am going to different schools and doing a 20 minute programme with two skits and a song. 4 pm

V. Prize distribution - 4.30 pm

VI.Inter religious prayer - and two minute silence 5 pm

VII Raghupati Raghava Raja ram and disbursal.
