For Global Peace with Social Justice in a Sustainable Environment
Lokashakti logo
Lokashakti is a Hindi word meaning "power of the people". It's found within the political theory of Gandhian activist and scholar Vinoba Bhave, who in the 1950s described it as directly opposed to the power of violence. As a name it's intended to bring to mind the power of nonviolent action, inherent within each one of us, and increasing exponentially as we band together in the struggle for justice and peace.
