Recreating Chaplin for peace against child labour ~CheChe

Che Che
Che Che is a cinematic expression in the style and genre of Sir Charles Chaplin Master of mime. After Charlie Chaplin; there has not been such quality cinema, mime, music with just subtitles and no dialogues.

This style made it possible to communicate some of the most intense problems of the world like Fascism, War, poverty, homelessness, and child workers and so on. You can laugh the whole way through and have tears and fears of the system that you became part of.

It was Chaplin who through the work Great Dictator who made the most profound critique of Hitler. The kid was a stunningly reality cinema, highly entertaining yet a damning statement on the conditions of working children, on poverty homelessness…

I sculpted Chaplin, which stands as stone tribute to in Bangalore to become the world’s largest existing image of the great Maestro!

Now I want to make films in his style

Che Che is an acronym for Che Guevara the most popular youth icon of the world standing for social justice. and also stands for the Kannada term Cheche meaning unbearable, a popular usage in folk dialogues.

Che Che in the film is a character who is proactive towards working children an artist like Michelangelo and Chaplin. He believes in social justice.
Never took this hypocritical world seriously.
Che Che is also showing the conditions of working children in India through humor. It shows the stupidity of an adult world which denies children their childhood.
Che Che is a violent silent communication in a violent world.
It is a style of Gandghi ND King our gurus.
I am looking forward for support to producing it. The first episodes are already into production . Please become a producer by contributing a small
Fund for and request details by writing to me johndevaraj@gmail.com

Che Che will be produced as 10 minute episodes.
The themes on child labour include,

1 The Bonda Boy, about hotel workers.

2 Mane bootha, about domestic workers

3 Ittige huduga, About brick making children, of Anekal

4 Yellow fever, About children of the turmeric of Chamarajnagar

5 Cotton kids, About cooton growers, of raichur

6 Chillies are green my love, About chilli pickers of Raichur

7 Kabbina makalu about children of Sandur, bellary.

8 Ravi Bond About bonded labour children

9 Stone age about children breaking stones

10 Gulabi, about rose plucking children of Bangalore

11 Two clowns, Circus children on the streets of Bangalore

12 Grapes are sour. Children separating dry resins in Bijapur.

13 Cowboy Jallali, about slave shepherds of Belgaum, Raichur
Rich music, acting, slapstick, fun, high entertainment will be the signature of the films No dialogues. Subtitles appear on a black screen in keeping with the tradition of Chaplin. This black space also helps the viewer to think critically. It also makes it possible to show it in all languages and has an universal appeal.
It is very necessary to make and show these films to create a proactive culture for the liberation of millions of toiling children in India. Karnataka is the second in employing children after Rajasthan in India

John: I wholeheartedly support what you are doing, though I am too poor to contribute money. I have thoroughly studied Sir Chas. over my entire life, as I have with Bapuji. Chaplin was and stands as the true master - there is not much modern film that does not "steal" from what he began. I have been an actresss all my life (hence, the poverty :-) ), so I understand what kind of work and money is required to do what you propose to undertake! Go for it.
Dear John,
Please inform me when you get this films made. For funding, where are you? Are there any grants or scholarships in the arts from the US that you could apply for? I am very disturbed with the child labour situation in India...even "workers" a term used for people who are generally construction labour throughout India, many of them are far under 18. They work the most energetic and productive years of their lives, and generally, by the time they are 30 are unable to continue working due to back, health, lung, eye problems due to the intensity of labour. For giving the best years of their youth and health, for dirt cheap wages, they are left with nothing. Certainly nothing for retirement.
God Bless you for doing this.
Aunty Kamala
The children who are compelled by their guardians to take part in the television channel's reality shows and other private song and dance programmes in various festivals should also be considered as 'child labour'
