Why are you interested in the Gandhi-King Community?: I am a veteran journalist, former newspaper reporter, now working as a freelance writer and editor. Although I have left the newsroom, I remain a public servant and delight in meeting others who are committed to doing the "people's" work.
I serve on the board of directors for the Center for Independent Living in Berkeley, the nation's first civil rights organization run by and for people with disabilities.
