Why are you interested in the Gandhi-King Community?
Both Mahatmi Gandhi and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. were great men who viewed the world, not through a microscope, but multi-dimensionally in full focus. We are one people, wherever we come from, whatever we look like and whatever we label ourselves.

During the late 1960's and 70's I was a Detroit Police Officer. I have seen violence and lived with violence. Violoence should never be tolerated or accepted. It only took me a few years to realize that violence begets more violence, and should never be acceptable, under any terms. Ignorance is only a partner to violence. Both need to be eliminated. Human Rights are rights that are God given to all mankind, regardles of any human defined terms of sorting, classifications, origins or geo-political entities.

I believe that God made/designed us as "one," sees us as one and expects the same from all of us, it is my (our) responsibility to bring this about; for me, that is one step at a time. I want to continue my growth in this area of "oneness" and hopefully lead others, by example. Most of my life has been focused on thought, speech, but now I am into the action phase of my life; positive, creative and parnterships with others like me. Universality of mankind is what we are about defined as "oneness."

"Oneness" a poem authored/copyright by Chuck Keys

It had no color,
Lacking shape, size and dimension.
It wasn't moving or breathing.

There was neither aroma nor taste, not here or there.
Touching was useless because it wasn't physical.
It was indistinct and limitless.

Thinking multi-physically
Multi-sensually and multi-psychologically
It wasn't here or there and it was.

With no distinction,
It looked like everything else,
Or it could not have looked like everything else.

It never made me feel good nor bad,
Nor happy nor sad
Nor quite nor trite.

In our world of joy and destroy, we sort and distort,
Looking more on the surface and less on the inside,
Ready to judge and be judged from outside in.

The "oneness" of mankind stretches beyond definitions and limits,
From outside to inside and from inside to outside.
We are one distinct and alike world of "oneness."

Differences exist for differences,
Therefore, differences don't exist.
Only "oneness" exists.

Poem by Chuck Keys ... "One, Won, Once"

One ,Won, Once

By Chuck Keys

Brightness can be blinding

With your eyes closed

Or with your eyes open.

Darkness can be blinding

With your eyes closed

Or with your eyes open.

As a driveway needs a parked car,

Does color make a difference? Hurtfully

Yes. Yet, we're all the same.

Can a green pepper ever be red?

Or should the

Red pepper be yellow? Color again.

I can't stop hearing that surface beat.… Continue

Hello new friend. God bless you and continue to pray for peace in America and all over the world. I know that as a former police officer you have seen a lot of horribly violent things. Inner peace and faith in God can work in the believer to eradicate violence and enable us to live lives of abundance in Jesus Christ. Have a great day!
