Event Description

Do you want to be part of a new generation of Palestinians that uses effective and creative means in our struggle to end Israeli injustices and violations of Human Rights?

The Palestinian Popular Struggle movement and the citizens of Al-Nabi Saleh and other surrounding villages invite you to join us in a day of popular struggle to end the continued violations of human rights committed by the Israeli military and Israeli settlers northwest of Ramallah on Saturday September 25th 2010. On this day we will peacefully march to a natural spring in the village that has been taken over by Israeli settlers and closed off to the villagers by the Israeli military. In this effort we will employ non-violent techniques similar to those used by King, Gandhi, and Mandela to challenge segregation and colonialism.

Formal Invitation:
Palestinian Popular Struggle Movement
Al-Nabi Saleh – World Peace Day Event

The Palestinian Popular Struggle Movement and the Villagers of Al-Nabi Saleh invite you to join them in commemorating World Peace Day in Al-Nabi Saleh on September 25th 2010. On this day Palestinians from all around the West Bank will join with all people of good intentions in a valiant endeavor to establish their rights and put an end to segregation and other violations committed by the Israeli occupation. This effort comes as a continuation of the villagers’ weekly march in which they attempt to reach the village’s natural spring and arable land, but are violently rebuffed by the Israeli military.

We will, in communion, lift each other out of the dark barricade that surrounds us and prepare ourselves for the long struggle for peace and human dignity.

We will provide all of the people in Palestine with an illustration of value-based direct action that will allow others to mimic this effort so that we can all move forward to attain our basic rights.

We will combine the values of compatriotism and human struggle to rise from the valley of despair to the mountaintop of hope.

We will maintain our moral and national heritage through events that strengthen our connection to each other and our native soil.

On this day we will work together, march together, and struggle together as one. United, we will send a lucid message demanding freedom, peace and justice for all.

There will be men and women from every corner of Palestine, joined by hundreds of international and Israeli activists, unified in their demand for justice, humanity, and freedom.

We will all be steadfast in our struggle for change on this day of action in Al-Nabi Saleh.

Dear Fadi,
I hope you know I would attend if I could get to Palestine on the 25th. Best wishes for your effort to bring about nonviolent transformation.
