Ranjitsinh,King of Gujerat who went to Princes College in Rajkot not far from Porbander and where Ghandiji came from, was kept down and discriminated and considered a darkie and a wog as Indians were reffered to at that time of Imperialism was not allowed to be england cricket captain and his love with Christian Minister who was his tutor at cambridge was kept hussed up and frowned upon and so they never married.ranjitshi helped to raise funds for the church clock and arranged a cricket match in Gilling village and also blessed and sent Indian troops to fight for england, who liberated Jeruslam from the turkish occupation under General Allenby.
Times change and folks change.Nasser Hussain, muslim lad from India did become captain of England and was successfull at that. But why are Hindus kept down and discriminated when they have been loyal to UK?eg Gurkahs who are Hindus have foughtmany battles for uk and won more victoria crosses then any regiment have only recently won rights in uk,thanks to Joanna Lumley. So how come one minority in UK of Scottish,Irish ,Jewish tribes rule and discriminate against other minority tribes as well as majority English folks is a question for debate, dialogue and how to improve democracy so that all have a fair chance.
Indeed,Ghandiji also blessed two and half million troops from India to fight for King and country but what did indians get in return?not Italy or France or canada or kent ?many africans also fought and died to what avail?phew.how to make folks accountable so they dont use other peoples sons as canon fodder in wars of death and destruction but respect them and avoid wars in the first place.
